Mahler´s Third Symphony in Oman
The Bratislava Boys’ Choir received a special invitation from the Slovak Philharmonic to co-perform in Gustav Mahler‘s Third Symphony on 4 April 2019 in the Royal Opera House Muscat, Oman.
It was conducted by Emmanuel Villaume, the former chief conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic and conductor for the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
“We are very honored by the invitation from the Slovak Philharmonic to represent our art of the performance. The children’s part in Mahler’s Third Symphony is not new to us. We revisit this work in cycles,“ says Magdaléna Rovňáková, conductor of the Bratislava Boys’ Choir. 30 boys toured to Oman and performed in the grand concert hall for over 1000 people.
