The Bratislava Boys' Choir is ringing the bells in schools across Slovakia!
The school bell can be more than just a signal before lessons or breaks. It can also become a brief encounter with beautiful music performed by the Bratislava Boys Choir.
The Zvoní project brings joyful musical bell chimes to schools across Slovakia, with the aim of brightening children’s school day, creating a good mood, and gently introducing them to significant works of Slovak and international choral music. The project includes not only excerpts from classical music and folk song arrangements, but also original short jingles created specifically for this purpose. Schools can receive the bell chimes by filling out the registration form.
“The Zvoní project was born from the idea that even an ordinary school bell can bring children joy and inspiration, and naturally lead them closer to choral singing and music,” says Gabriel Rovňák, the author of the project idea.

The individual bell chimes are 5 to 35 seconds long and are based on the choir’s repertoire. Recording them was filled with great joy and excitement at the thought that these short musical moments will soon be heard in schools all across Slovakia.
“We believe that even a short musical bell chime can bring children joy and a pleasant moment during the school day. We want music to be not only part of concert halls, but also a natural part of children’s everyday lives, inspiring them to appreciate beauty and to sing,” says Magdaléna Rovňáková, founder of the choir and chief conductor of the Bratislava Boys Choir.
The project is non-commercial and schools can receive it free of charge. The project was also supported by the Bratislava Conservatory, which provided its premises for the recording, as well as Kavet production, which took care of the recording and production itself.
The processing of the recordings is currently underway, and the first dozens of schools have already expressed interest in the bell chimes.
