Under Ondrej Lenárd’s Baton
On September 10 our Bratislava Boys’ Choir will participate in a unique concert; a performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. This monumental work will include the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Slovak Philharmonic Choir. The soloists will be Aleš Jenis, Daniel Matoušek and Andrea Vizvári. The event will be led by Ondrej Lenárd, Slovakia’s legendary conductor.
The Bratislava Boys’ Choir rehearsed for this special collaboration with its conductor, Magdaléna Rovňáková: “Cooperation with conductor Ondrej Lenárd is a special occasion. We have been meeting on stage for over 30 years. Our unforgettable collaborations with the Slovak Philharmonic included many vocal and symphonic works. We also together toured to Japan where we co-performed in Tosca and La Bohème. There is a precious and inspiring bond between us which also speaks to our current collaboration.”
The Bratislava Boys’ Choir will perform with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra after only three months, when the boys performed in June in The Story of Music, a music education project.
The audience can listen to the concert live on Radio Devin and later see it on television, RTVS.
